About Me

Hi, I’m Sally — a 29-year old Dallas-based development professional at SMU with a love for food, travel, friends and family, and ultimately sharing those experiences in a thoughtful way.

I work in university development, building relationships with alumni and parents across the country and helping secure philanthropic support for SMU’s future. It’s a job rooted in connection, follow-through, and storytelling, which ends up shaping everything else I do too — from how I plan a new recipe to how I approach a new city or hobby.

Outside of work, I’m usually cooking, exercising, or planning my next trip. I split my time between Dallas life and frequent travel to places like New York, Boston, DC, and South Florida for work, which has slowly turned into a running list of favorite restaurants, coffee shops, and long walking routes in each city.

This blog is where I keep all of that in one place: recipes I actually make again and again (lots of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, healthier type desserts and baked goods, high-protein dinners that still feel like real food), travel notes, and the life that surrounds the food and travel. You may also come across some of my arts & crafts... I love to crochet and enjoy using this site as a "portfolio" of the blankets, stuffed animals, etc that I've made with love over time.

More than anything, this space is just a running collection of the parts of life that don’t fit neatly into a job title — dinner, family tradition, travel days, arts and crafting, and the recipes worth repeating.

You can find me on LinkedIn and Instagram, or reach out anytime. I genuinely love hearing what other people are cooking, traveling to, or thinking about next.
